In 1979 I fell on icy concrete steps and landed on the iliac crest. I spent 3 weeks in a osteopathic hospital in OKC where I was given 175 mg of Demerol every 3 hours and I was still in terrible pain.. My doctor (long since retired) told me I had a "permanently bruised lower lumbar four". He gave me a copy of my file but over the years it has gone missing and I have no records. I have suffered with back pain and ever since and now, at age 61, I find that standing hurts so much I can not stand at the sink to wash dishes longer than a few minutes so I use the dish washer. Vacuuming hurts my back so I put it off as long as I can and then I have to take many breaks... it is an all day job. Sitting on the couch will cause my back to hurt and driving to visit my grand kids will cause my back to hurt that night. If I lift heavy things, (like moving) I find I may not even be able to roll over in bed or get out of bed the next morning.
I have no ins and other than my back, I am pretty healthy but over weight by about 40lbs.
Besides advice to lose weight, any thing else??
