I am having a Direct Lateral Interbody fusion (DLIF) on L3-4, L4-5 and Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF) on L5-S1 on 3/30/15..I have had two previous Lamectomy procedures on L5-S1...I know this is going to be hard to deal with...I am also overweight due to inability to walk more than 1/4 mile at a time...I dont want to do this but I have ZERO mobility and quality of life as it is, with a daily 50mg Norco habit to boot! SO if there is anything you guys can tell me id appreciate the input...I guess I should also mention that I live alone with no family in the area so I would assume I will be doing two or three weeks of Sub-Acute hospital after surgery( this may be a huge blessing because in the past I have pushed too hard too soon, this way ill get correct rehab)...anyway thanks in advance...
