Consistent snapping solound upper neck and lower skull

For the past hour or so my upper neck near the skull has been popping constantly.
It happened after someone strattled my back and pushed down on the back of my neck.
When I tried to lay down on my side I can hear it crack and it freaked me out, and when I walk I can hear it crack as well.
Should I be worried? And would it be alright to lay on my side?

There is nobody on the forum qualified or permitted to give medical advice, if you are concerned it is always a good idea to ask your doctor.

  • Go to emergency and get checked immediately. if it is a neck injury, you risk making things a whole lot worse. Please don't wait; go get checked out.

Realize that FEAR is our worst enemy. Get up & get out in that stormy weather of the real world & kick fear in the teeth. Stare at it dead in the eyes & walk right through it into the storm; because once you're wet, you won’t fear the rain anymore
