Post lumbar fusion: Experienced an Almost Fall

Today is day 11 post op lumbar TLIF of L4&5. I have been doing great with minimal pain. I have been increasing my walking everyday and things were going great until today. I was walking and stepped wrong rolling my ankle. This caused a 45 degree forward abrupt jerky bend forward at the waist! I am wearing the hard brace. I did not feel anything pop or shift, just an immediate sharp pain deep inside. I regained my alignment and proceeded home to sit down immediately. I am in pain but nothing truly unbearable. Could this type of incident cause unfixable damage? I assume if the hardware came loose or broke I would feel it. I do go to doctor Wednesday for staple removal.
