I had a radio ablation procedure of 4 cervical disks. I had moderate chronic pain and was advised that this procedure was pretty much risk free. I had a severe increase in my neck pain and marked reduction in neck movements after the procedure and the symptoms are still very bad 4 months later. I have looked into the literature and find only self-serving reports of mild symptoms post-procedure. I cannot believe I'm the only person who has been made much worse by it.
I'd like to know if anyone else has had this experience and if it has been reported in the literature or reported to the FDA. A saw a rheumatologist who said I had a severe inflammatory response that should have been treated immediately with high dose steroids. Instead he said I now have scarring from the inflammation that we have no treatments for.
