Charging the Battery

I had a SCS implanted about 2 1/2 weeks ago and was curious as to how long am I required to charge the battery. I attempted to charge the battery about 6 days ago and the lines for the battery indicator indicated that it was not charging. Today, I am unable to adjust the strength because now I am down to one bar and is orange. I have had the charger on for approximately 40 minutes and it is not showing an increase in the battery charge. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I am doing everything the experts have told me. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Liz,

I can only speak from my experience with my Boston Scientific Precision Plus SCS system. It usually takes me about 3 to 5 hours to charge fully. It varies depending upon how much I move around, causing the unit to beep it's misalignment indication.
I have also noticed that some days take longer because (like this AM) I was sitting / laying on the couch watching a movie with sweat pants and a blanket - I think the the charging rate drops as the unit increases in temperature (a safety feature to keep you from being burned).

How long I go between charging depends on which program I choose, but I usually charge every Sunday morning.
