7 weeks post op MD-need advice- still in pain

Long story short... I am 7 weeks post op from a Microdiscectomy! At 5 1/2 weeks I started PT. My recovery was iffy before PT having goods and bad days with my leg pain. I did 2 sessions of PT the therapist had me working through sharp pains, not just muscle stiffness and aches but sharp pains that's radiated through my leg with each movement. Since then I have been trying to recover each day has been more and more painful! I have now been on the couch for most of my day for 3 days. Before PT I even drive myself to the appt. It hurt but I did it! I wouldn't imagine doing it now.
I have sharp pains in my thigh when I am laying down and turn over, I have muscle cramping and Intense burning in my shin when I am standing and walking. I am so scared this is perminant! I don't know what to do. The MD surgery I had was an emergency surgery that was brought on 7 days after I woke up with leg cramps and within 2 days I was not able to walk at all and went to the ER. They even had to bring a stretcher to the car.
What are my options now? Has anyone has a similar story? Was my surgery a fail?
Oh and a little Info that is important is at 2 1/2 weeks post op I was having a lot of leg pain so they requested another MRI and it showed a normal amount of inflammation and that i didn't seem to have a reherniation. I would love any advice or input as possible! Thank you
