April 27, 2014 I over did the sit-ups and abs crunches after a gap of 2 months. The very next day a sharp lower back pain came. Pain was too severe I was not able to sit not even 1 minute. Till next 3 months docs were telling its a normal mechanical or muscular pain. After 4 months MRI was done. MRI showed a broad based annular disc bulge in L5-S1 disc, no root nerve impression. From very first day of injury I stopped sitting, forward bending and lifting anything heavy than 4-5 kg. After 8 months of injury I had a epidural steroid injection. That time second MRI showed disc bulge in L4-L5 and previous disc bulge was disappeared. Last month in Feb 2015 I had third MRI which shows disc bulges in both L4-L5 and L5-S1. Now I am taking traction that gives some temporary relief. But till date I sm not able to sit for 5 minutes without pain. I am disappointed that I can't add photos on this forum. Otherwise I could add snapshots of my MRI report. I have pain in sitting only. But as per doctors my MRI is normal and I should not have this much pain. I have tried acupressure, acupuncture, IFT, Tense, US therapies, yoga and Ayurveda. No relief at all. Some where I read that broad based central bulges are more serious problem and are more painful. Is that true? Till date I am not able to sit for 5 minutes.
Any advice/suggestion/guidance is expected from you guys. Please help me. Thanks in advance for taking time to help me.
