When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for a day
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself
And see what that man has to say.

For it isn’t your father, or mother, or wife
Whose judgment upon you must pass
The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the one staring back from the glass.

He’s the fellow to please – never mind all the rest
For he’s with you, clear to the end
And you’ve passed your most difficult, dangerous test
If the man in the glass is your friend.

You may fool the whole world down the pathway of life
And get pats on your back as you pass
But your final reward will be heartache and tears
If you’ve cheated the man in the glass.

Realize that FEAR is our worst enemy. Get up & get out in that stormy weather of the real world & kick fear in the teeth. Stare at it dead in the eyes & walk right through it into the storm; because once you're wet, you won’t fear the rain anymore

This is just what I needed to read today. With Easter being this weekend, I have family coming for dinner & so much to do. I needed this motivation to just get up & do it.
    Have a positive day everyone!
  • That's what I needed to see right now....I've spent so long trying to get "better" or back to "normal" I'd forgotten the most important point: accept who I am and what is normal, now, for ME. I have and I can live with it, even though I'm not who I was, I am who I am now x
  • Very good. I just heard something that really hit home with me. "You don't get the chance to be who you used to be." It has helped me accept the new me.
