Hi, i'm a newbie on this forum, thanks for having me! I've just had the above procedure. I'd had an L4/5 prolapse, sequestrated disc fragments etc...I had foot slap (not really a drop (if there is a difference, it's that I haven't fallen over with it, except off a chair, but that was my own stupid fault; I'd forgotten my condition for a mo!)! Anyway, I was due to just have Micro-D, a 45 minute procedure, he said. An hour and a half later, Himself is getting just a tad concerned lol! My symptoms were: some sciatic pain, just occasional; numbness around the whole knee area; some calf numbness; pins and needles in first two toes; foot slap; no knee reflexes at all, hence a lot of buckling. The latter seemed worse after my fall, which over-stretched the thigh completely! I have a feeling that the surgery has corrected the over-stretched thigh pain/discomfort, but I was just wondering if anyone had experienced loss of knee reflexes and whether they had returned. I ought to say that my knee has taken a bashing, largely due to the fact that last year, I had an L3/4 prolapse, which also resulted in loss of reflexes. I 'think' they returned, but I wasn't in the habit of checking them regularly...maybe I should! Any experiences shared will be gratefully received!
