i am 26 yo, I had a spill at work on the 26th of March. I work in an office and sitting down is unbareable. It feels like a knife is stuck in my spine. And along with that is pain going down my left leg. It feels like I'm being shocked. The first time I went to the dr he sent me on my way with the diagnosis being a pulled muscle. A week later im back in his office, after a straight leg test he sends me for an MRI.

Now I am by no means a dr but when I and my mom (who works in an ortho office) looked at this she said I had a herniated disc (ruptured, blown..) the black part of the disc takes up my whole spinal canal. (She also has had L5-S1 fusion). When i went today to pick up the dictation of the radiologist he called it a L5-S1-S1 chronic left eccentric protrusion which is pressing on my S1 nerve root.

Again, I am not a doctor lol but I cannot find a singular thing that tells me what exactly a disc protrusion is.. All I know is it's been almost 2 weeks my pain isn't getting any better. Does anyone have experience with a disc protrusion..? And did you have to see a specialist? Any advice is appreciated.
