  • A drug information page is included with every new prescription of Fentanyl patches. It has instructions on where you can place them and warnings too on how they should be . Hope that (and them) helps.
  • I clean the area with alcohol then place the patch when the area is dry. This instructions say not to clean the area alcohol but they don't stick to oily skin. I have seen comments and many people cleant the areas with alcohol. Also every patch company will sent a Bio Occlusive (one brand) to cover the patch and hold it on These are the best things ever. Buy them at a drug store that carries them to start, then the patch company will get you on program and they are free. Before I found the covers when I pulled the old patch off I had a very sticky residue and it was difficult to remove. I put them on one side of my belly below the waist and the next one on the other side. The brand that sticks the best is Mylan but they are the most expensive and insurances doesn't want to pay for them. They othese done't stay attached for 72 hours. The only thing you can do with those kind is to get the covers.
  • I put my patch on either one of my upper arms and change it every 3 days. You mustn't put the patch on the same area of skin when changing it for a new patch. You can use the same body part just not in the same exact place, you have to give that patch of skin a few days rest so to speak. I hope it works for you, all the best.
