Had a discectomy and fusion at C4-C5 in 2007 because of acute chronic pain and came out in same pain. Have been on disability since with pain barely controlled. Recently pain has increased (I don't want to live). I am on three 60 mg of morphine sulfate and doc is trying to get me on nucynta, but insurance won't cover. I don't have much hope. New MRI shows considerable degeneration. Advanced stenosis in neck with flattened, bulging disc (above and below previous fusion), pinched nerves and a bulging disc at T7-T8. It was my MS doctor who sent me for neck MRI after brain MRI showed no changes in MS. She has sent me to neuroscience docs and have appointment on May 5th. I have been doing research online and it looks like posterior laminectomy would be only chance, and truthfully, the outcome of those do not look positive. I refuse to keep living like this . Any advice?
