Complications after si injection

Well Monday 4/26/15 I had a si inject on right side. By we'd morn I had a high fever and can't walk. I had an overnight hosp stay and got sent home on 2 diff morphine, Valium and laxatives. I'm not any better :(. I can't go #2 and have to try to pee. How far do I "ride it out" as my surgeons nurse sais? I'm 33 and hate my walker!!

  • That does not sound good at all and have you called your doctor? What did they say at the hospital those symptoms don't sound good at all. I mean I always read or was told when you cannot go to the bathroom or loose the ability to walk that is a
trip to emergency. But you went there so I am confused I would not "ride it out" get some help as soon as you can alright and let us know how you are.
Just care and don't want anything to happen to you.
  • Today I'm calling dr again. I see a new primary tomorrow but I'm not getting any better. They say I "can't go" due to all the morphine but the laxatives should b helping I think.
  • So I seen my old spine specialist and my surgeon today... They say that I'm pretty much guaranteed surgery. The si injection did relieve the pain that was going into my knee and foot, however extremely flared the already crabby joint. I have a myleogram Friday and final results and plans Wednesday. All my mri's (3 total) were perfectly normal so the bathroom problems are radiated from the severe pain. They say my si joint is "almost unfunctioning" and don't know why :/
