Hello, I am a 35 year old woman and was diagnosed with Grade 1 anterior spondylolisthesis of L5 on S1 in 1990 when I was 10. In 2008 I had x-rays done, these x-ray also show the same finding. Last week my doctor ordered x-rays but this time the report showed no abnormal finding of arthritis or spondylolisthesis. This has me pretty confused because I was always told that although this may not get worse it doesn't just go away. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this most recent x-ray would not show what the first two did? Is it possible for spondylolisthesis to go away? The only treatment for my back I've ever had was pain meds and PT. I have never had an MRI done or saw a specialist.
