Stopping Hydrocodone

have been taking 1/4 of One 5mg hydrocodone 3 times daily for 5 days with minor physical withdrawals. I am 100 percent motivatived to stop this medicine after 4 plus years of surgeries. I reduced to this amount from 2 to 3 pills for one month due to severe flare up then one pill for a week. I have also reduced pain by taking meloxicam and physical therapy treatments. I will lower dose to 1/4 pill twice for 5 days then one 1/4 pill for 5 days then nothing. Currently my w/ds start around 12 hours after last dose. I am taking one at 6 am then another at 2 pm then wait over night til 6 am to start day.
Has anyone quit using hydrocodone in this manner?
Also has anyone the experience to say I maybe going too fast or too slow?

Hopefully, you are working with your doctor to taper and get off medication.

He is best to ask about how to go about it in a way best for your body, for your system.
    Doc could set your pace.
