Hi I am new here(I did check in with the Newbie Thread) I8 years ago I had an Anterior Posterior Spinal Fusion to correct S shaped curvature. I was a college athlete at the time and it ended my career. I am current a teacher and a coach. I had a workplace injury in 2013 and that is when I was diagnosed with flatback syndrome. Finally We have got Work Comp to pay for my surgery after 6 Opinions and going through a deposition. Dr says I have to have a PSO and then ALIF Scolosis Revision Surgery.
My PSO is next month July 20, 2015. I have all of the clinical information but I would like to know information from someone who has had the procedure. What to expect? What will be my limitation? Will I be able to coach and teach again?

I look forward to talking to all of you and thank you for listening to me.

Very sorry to hear about all you are going through, ex: working with Work Comp for payments, and continuing to teach, while still dealing with your physical issues.

I have no experience with your conditions, and others may drop by who can relate to your situation.

But I wanted to wish you the very best with your upcoming surgery, July 20!
And I for one would be very interested to know how you are doing.

    Please keep us posted!
