I hurt my lower back when I fell against a wall. It became more difficult to get out of bed and then one day, when leaving the shower I bent over and suddenly my back 'went'. Over the last four weeks my back SEEMS to have improved but my knee (left leg only) hurts loads and the back of my left leg feels like it is badly sunburnt i.e. it is very tender.
Today I had an X-ray (nothing showed up to worry about) and MRI (results due in 5 days).
Meanwhile I have been researching back exercises, videos, treatments etc. on YouTube etc. If you google 'exercise for injuries 5 worst back exercises ' you'll see in those five, TWO that are elsewhere for '5 BEST back exercises ' in particular yoga based sites. A typical exercise that is excellent/terrible is pulling one knee to your chest when you lie down.
I am anxious to do exercises as four weeks of doing nothing has lead to muscle wastage I am sure.
I cannot lift my left left when lying down which suggests herniated disc I suppose and I am anxious not to do the wrong exercises.
So, any advice please?
ALL excercise programs should be cleared and approved by your medical provider and specific to your individual condition. It is unwise and unsafe to follow the excercise programs of other members without your doctor's permission.
