Well here I am. 3 years removed from two neck surgeries. I have C4, C5, C6 fused and C7 replaced. Over the last two years now I have had issues with my low back. 18 months ago I had an MRI showing disk degeneration and stenosis at L4, L5, and S1 and bulging disks although at that time, minimal. Since the 4th of July I have had excruciating pain in my low back, it literally feels as if I'm being torn in half at the waist. X-rays and an MRI later the bulging and stenosis at the aforementioned locations is much much more severe. My MRI has been reviewed by a surgeon who I am meeting the 24th. His office says he is only meeting with me because I am a surgical candidate, other wise he would send off to some other avenue.
What type of surgery am I most likely looking at?
Whats the hospital stay?
Whats the recovery time?
Right now I am eating Percocet like its candy. I up to 6 to 8 a day, taking the 10/325's. There is time where nothing touches this pain. I also am walking with a cane as of now.
Any thoughts you might have, I would greatly appreciate. God bless.
