Update--Herniated disc L-4 and L-5 with pinched sciatic nerve

When I first came to this site after falling and hurting my back and injuring disc between L-4 and L-5 and sciatica on top of a previous broken back injury to T-12 with scar tissue and a cyst about two inches long .
I came to this site wanting to know other people who have experienced what I was going through and looking for when I would get some relief or any kind of "happy" story. Keep I in mind I went through some horrific pain lasting about 6-7 weeks-couldn't sleep, walk, sit, anything . I fell June 19th 2015 on to my right side and injured my left side then I fell again July 10th due to drop foot and was really feeling hopeless.
The last week and a half I have felt great-with no surgery-yay!! So there is hope-just wait it out and anytime it starts really acting up-STOP what you are doing-immediately! Now this may not help everyone but I wanted to let people know there is hope. I can feel a little pain when I do too much but then I stop. dont do any heavy lifting, twisting or anything to aggravate it . And I still take ibuprofen everyday but no more oxycodone-stay strong and keep smiling-best of luck to anyone who has to go through this. Any questions-just ask:)

...to hear you are doing so well!
I agree with you, about listening to your body and when the pain shows up or increases, let your body rest instead of pushing it.
Frustrating for the short term, I know, but more beneficial in the long run, I think, as that's been my experience also.
    Continued good luck to you!
