Pain in same spot as microD

Hi All,
I'm not asleep right now because of my back pain.

I had a microdiscectomy 2-6-14 and everything went great. Prior to surgery, I was in extreme pain. Numb foot and leg. I was a zombie on pain meds and had just had a c-section on top of it. The surgery was a life saver.

But for almost two weeks I've had acute, sharp pain in the same spot. No numbness, thankfully, just pain. I went to an orthopedic and she did an X Ray, said it was nothing and I'd just "done something dumb." She said give it a couple weeks and it will resolve. She sent me on my way w/ a script for muscle relaxers, which have done nothing. I've been doing everything she said - stretching/heat and ice/bath soaks.

So far, the pain is the same level as when I walked in to her office. If I move a certain way, I'm practically brought to my knees in pain. I'm terrified it's an issue with the disc since it is in the exact same spot as my surgery. Should I go back to her for another look or request an MRI or am I just paranoid? I will suffer through the pain if there's a light at the end of the tunnel but so far I've felt no change in pain level no matter what I do.
