Update on my progress from surgery

Hello everyone. I am going on my 10th week post op. I had an ALIF w/hardware (2 rods, 8 screws, & 2 cages) of my L4-S1 and a lamenectomy of my L3-S1 disks 360 style. So far my surgery has been successful. I am still wearing my back brace. I go back to the doctor Aug. 4th and have more x-rays taken and hopefully get out of this brace. I think that has been the worst part of it all. I am able to do a lot more walking than before. The numbness and drop foot has gone away. I am no longer taking any medication except when I absolutely need it, like night time. For some reason I am having a hard time sleeping after this surgery. I am currently taking over the conter meds to accomadate my sleeping. I never had to use a walker, a cane after my surgery. I did use a shower stool for the first 2 weeks afterwards. Oh and I used a shower head that comes off and has an extension, which was real nice.

Anyways I am doing great and just wanted to let you know there are success stories out there. Keep your heads up and hope that you are successful too. (atleast I am so far)
