Over the years I have read so many comments about member's spinal surgery.
Could be cervical or lumbar, fusion, 360, PLIF, ALIF TLIF, ACDF, etc
So many people come out of surgery and they are doing so much better for the long haul.
But then there are also so many people who have the surgery and it almost seems that they are worse than before the surgery. Why is that?
What could be the different factors involved? Spinal surgery has become very common place nowadays, so its not like you have to have the best of the best to perform almost routine surgeries.
Could it be the
- Nursing staff
- Delay surgery or treatment
- Bad equipment
- Patient's genetics
- Patient not following orders
- Patient's support system
To me, there has to be some common ground here. There has to be a reason for why so many succeed
, while many fail.
** Thanks to Lee54 for mentioning about delayed treatment
*** Thanks to Sherri for adding on Support system
