Where are my symptoms?

I am scheduled on November 4th for surgery. I had all the usual suspects like spasms, tingling, numbness. I have a herniation below my fusion at C6-C7. It's been months of agony. Although I still have the intense burning across my back it seems like the other symptoms vanished yesterday. All of a sudden. Do I rejoice and cancel surgery?! Opinions? Has anyone experienced this but went forward anyway?

  • That's "white coat" syndrome. I experienced the same thing before my surgery. It was weird and I had the same thoughts, to cancel. Truth to be told you're issue isn't going to fix itself or magically go away. It will rear its ugly head in due time. You're scheduled, just do it :-)
