I pulled my back muscle in the lower lumbar area a year ago, two weeks after I started experiencing neuropathic pain in my left leg (the worst) and mildly in my right arm. How come none of my neuro tests with EMG or Evoked Potential, which I had about 3 months after the neuropathic pain first started and it was at its worst during this time.
Most therapists I have seen think that when I pulled the muscle the nerves got rattled and the scar tissue I have now is continuing to put pressure on them... I was also told that its genetics and my upbringing/ environment etc that can influence something like this. The things is a lot of people pull a back muscle but don't end up with sometimes debilitating neuropathic pain down there right side. Its been just over a year, today was my 26th birthday and I still sometimes wonder why this happened to me...
Thoughts any one? thank you.
Continue to suffer from alignment issue and myofasical pain in rib cage and pelvic area.
Nerve pain and back pain are more stable these days but still get flare ups.
