I had the exact same thing as u on dec 21st. Almost exactly the same diagnosis as u too. Look at my thread with another lady ...I think it says acdf and sore muscles ....u can read both of our comments since surgery on the same day. Good luck and it wasn't NEARLY as bad as I thought it was going to be and has been a blessing to realise when I woke up that I didn't hurt anymore. Good luck and can't wait to read your post surgery update!

Had surgery on wed. Stayed the night. Was walking my floor numerous times. Surgery was a success, thank god. A bit of a sore throat. Sore behind my neck by my shoulder blades. I was thinking the worse when when i came it wasn't bed. 1 day was ruff (which to be expected) . Didn't get ANY sleep in the hospital, and was very lucky had the room to myself, that was a huge plus. Went home thurs about 11am. Got all my scripts. But overall im doing really good. Barely no pain. Thank god. Sleeping in my own bed with a bunch of pillows. And have been getting good sleep. Can't drive till i go back to doc on the 28th. Which im fine with not driving, don't want to take any chances. But the forums are truly the best. People get to share there stories and no judgment. Love it. Hope all is well with your recovery. Back to bed for me now. Also a plus, i really haven't had to my pain meds. I do on some just to kick out the soreness in my chest and shoulder blades.
