I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this after having 6 wonderful months. Have you contacted the NS who did the PLIF and discussed this with him/her?

If something settled, is your hardware still intact?

hope you figure it all out soon.

  • Hi "C"

Sorry for late response- had a sinus thing which I sometimes get when on Narpoxen too long. Hoping shots willkick in so I can get rid pf naproxen.

Yes. hardware is in place and fused. The neuro explained this happens sometimes at 6 months to some people, but it will go away.

However, this happned April 23 08 and it is not gone yet.
There has been somepain relief but I am not up to long walks etc.

I will say the first shots got rid of pain and tingling down both legs.

The PM said there is pressure on nerve that goes to groin from some settling of spine post surgery.

PM suggests nerve ablation or SCS if no relief. He says we take it one step at a time.

I have finished 6 shots in lumbar SI and piraformis over 8 week period.

Now I have to have facet shots in 3 weeks , and then in Sept we will review it all
    ..Thanks for thoughts
