recovery time for TLIF L4-S1

Today is my 3 month visit. I am taking Neurontin and flexeril and vicodin still. Without the pain meds I am very stiff and sore. i have new pain in my left buttock? Started the bone growth stimulator at 7 weeks post op and that is when I started to feel like I was backsliding. Anyone have any input?

Could account for stiffness!

Smile hi and welcome to the forum! Wave we are here to offer you support and answer what questions we can. are you doing any type of pt or exercising? this could account for your stiffness. please talk to your doctor about this. Call it should be time to get moving. tell your doctor about this new pain and keep him informed. get some rest and take your meds as prescribed. Thinking good luck and i hope to see you around. check out the "Back and Neck surgical" forum for some more input. also read the "Good News" forum for a read on successful SH surgeries. Jenny Smile

Thank you

At my 3 month check up the NS looked at an xray and told me the fusion has started :)) Told him about the pain on my left side which is new since using a bone stim, he did nothing except saying sacral joint bothering you? No exam or anything. I will be returning to work on 2 Dec which will be 4.5 months from surgery date. It helps to read these comments and no that I am not alone!!
