Fentanytl Patch warning.

Hi, new here! I just wanted to add a warning to this list. Lastnight I was watching a program (dr. g) and a man overdosed from his fentanyl patch by accident. Dr. G said that they have been recalled because there are many defective ones. Patients are still recieving the defective ones into 2008. I just wanted to pass this warning along in case someone who uses them didn't know about this. My own dr. wanted to put me on them and now I'm glad he didn't.

At last, after a long time, I found a site that meets their deliveries because Tramadol buy for my pain and after so much testing here and there, I recommend this site www.EDITED.com first and get a good deal, something that made me doubt the first, but to try to buy it, then shipping is fast, and the product is original, that gave me confidence and the second was the same, and I may rely on such companies, looking to see logically follow that meeting.

Schedule Drug List

I found this interesting website by the DEA, stating the medications and its schedules. If you like to see what schedule is your med, take a look at this link:

http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/schedules/schedules.htm

This is the 'full' list, it stated, but I can't find Tramadol in it yet. Someone mentioned that it is scheduled 4. Anything that is schedule 1, 2 or 3 are considered narcotic meds.

Hope you find this helpful.

NSAIDS

I'm surprised to see Naproxen on your list because I recently learned that NSAIDS are known to inhibit bone fusion. Am I confused or is it on the list in error?

Thanks!

Sorry, I realize my post is out of context. For some reason my mind was fixated on recovery drugs rather than all aspects of pain. Please disregard.

Percocet

In the past when I have been given Lortab it would make me throw up. I tolerated Percocet much better, but now I can't take it either because when I do I get a sharp pain under my right ribs that can last for days. I also get a migraine headache the day after I take a percocet. I am in so much pain, but I can't take my pain meds because I'm nervous about what they are doing to my liver. So, I just take half a percocet to take the edge off a couple times a month and suffer the rest of the time. (At least I don't have to worry about becoming addicted to or dependent on pain meds.)

You should probably clarify

You should probably clarify that 'Ionsys' isn't the same as a fentanyl patch and AFAIK isn't available outside of the hospital - or perhaps a nursing home.

Good post though Smile

If Vicodin (Lortab) makes you vomit...

...like it does me (actually, all prescription pain meds have that effect on me--I discovered its effect on me the hard way, hugging the toilet after a painful back procedure--ugh!), try taking it with Hyroxyzine (brand name Vistaril). It is an anti-histamine that has the lovely side-effect of eliminating nausea and vomiting caused by opioids.

Honest to god, it has SAVED MY LIFE since my back surgery, as I wouldn't have been able to take any prescription pain meds without it--until I discovered it, I was going to have to rely on Aleve for pain relief--no way was that gonna work after surgery! It works perfectly for me. You will need a presciption for it, but my PM doc has no problem prescribing it for me. It also has an anti-anxiety effect, too, which is a nice bonus.
