Constant Excruciating Pain in left groin and upper buttocks on same side

For about 1-1/2 months I have developed excruciating pain in my left groin area as well and my upper butt area on the same side and the only thing I think that may have happened is my husband took a bad fall down the stairs (neurological issues) and I tried to help it get up and could not. The pain is so horrible, it hurts worse than anything I have ever been through. Every time I put any weight on my left leg, it is unbearable. I am using a cane and it doesn't help that much. When I get in and out of my car, I literally scream even now. Just getting into the sitting position in my car is horrible pain then shifting my right leg to the gas pedal, I can not lift my left leg on its own. I have to literally pick up my pants leg to get it in the car and again I scream each time. It is not getting better, but worse each and every day.

Optional Information:
Person's Gender: Female
Person's Age: 55

Already Tried:
PT,have seen ortho doctor and he said he had never had a case as bad as mine. He did Sed rate and CRP and both were exceptionally high. He is concerned about retroperitoneal hemorrage, possibly spinal fracture or pinched nerves. Since I am on Coumadin he said he won't do injections until he has a sure diagnosis.

I have had x-rays of hip and groin. Also did a CAT scan stat this past Monday. I don't have an appointment to see him again until 5/11 and that is with him forcing space for me to go over all the results. I have quite a few ailments unfortunately: asthma, pulmonary embolisms, high blood pressure, was hospitalized 84 days last year alone.

Bless your heart!

I hope by now you have figured something out but it says you won't meet with the doctor until the 11th. I don't know if I could even drive with that kind of pain! Currently my husband drives me everywhere but I suppose if I had to I would! I am sorry you are going through this! I am not sure what a SED and CRP is but I will look it up.

Tracy,

SI joints "messed up" (surgeons words)- not sure if I will get them fused at a later time
