I, recently, was examined by an orthopedic surgeon. He informed me that the cause of my EXCRUCIATING pain is due to severe arthritis of both hips and S-1 dysfunction. He, first, (and occurring this week), wants to give me some kind of injection. He says that the injection will allow him to determine if his diagnosis is correct.
If the injection is not helpful, (giving me relief), he then wants to use the SI-LOK Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction procedure. It is a surgery where a small incision is made and, then, with the surgeon putting screws into the vertebra.
I am very concerned. I have had spinal injections in the past. All have caused me to have MORE pain.
I am very concerned about the possible surgical procedure.
I'd appreciate learning from others if they have had this type of procedure and learning if the procedure was successful.
