    I am so sorry to hear about your job. Look on the bright side, maybe you can stay home, draw unemployment and recover better.
    It sounds like you have a great PCP, at least you know she will be there for you.

    As others have stated, 900mg of Neurontin is really not considered a high dosage.  Many doctors start off with 300mg a day, in within a week or two may up that to 900 or 1200mg.   Depending on the results you are achieving, its not that uncommon to be up  in the 2000mg+ per day.

    From my personal experiences, I felt that I didnt start to notice any improvements with Neurontin until I was up around 1200mg/day and been using it for several weeks.  Its not a type of medication that you see immediate results, like you do with opioids.
