  • 1 Head cabbage
    1 chopped onion
3/4 cup or less of sugar
    1 cup white vinegar
    3/4 cup vegtable oil
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard

Bring to boil. Pour over chopped cabbage, and refrigerate over night.

P.S. You can also substitute Splenda for the sugar. This is a great recipe for slaw. I hope this helps

  • wow 200 lbs of cole slaw! That is heaven for my husband! Celery seed huh? I usually use that for potato salad. Ill give it a try, Thanks everyone!
  • If you are in a hurry, the Kraft Coleslaw dressing straight from the bottle is not bad. I cut up fresh cabbage, maybe add some shredded carrots, and dump in the bottle of dressing. Martha Stewart I am not.
  • I used to make it from scratch, but the Kraft dressing is one of the best!!
