Hi,  I am new to this site and just got done reading your post and some of the responses. Unfortunately your post was from quite some time ago but I suffer from the same exact medical problems caused also from being shot. I was shot on March, 24 2016 and am still dealing with nerve pain from the bullet being lodged between the L5  and S1.  I also have drop foot in my left foot. My nerurosurgeon also told me that it will probably never fully heal and my old PT told me that the drop foot would heal. Well I had to discontinue going to physical therapy months ago because it was causing more pain and having a very negative affect on me all together. I am scheduled for a nerve block procedure at the end of this month and am praying for some sort of relief from that. If the original poster reads this can you reach out to me?   I am interested to know where you stand as far as the drop foot and pain is concerned now that it's been quite a while since the incident. My career is on the line here and so far this has been extremely debilitating. Thanks in advance.
