doctor sent me through pt but didn't help. took me off the pain killers which were the only thing helping. now i can barely even work my desk job. its all i can think about

  • HELLO and welcome to spine health. Where do you feel your pain? What kind of DR. or specialist did you see?
  • It is not at all unusual not to find anything on xrays. Have you had an MRI?

If nothing shows on an MRI you may want to see a Pain Management doc. They have many more diagnostic options to try.

Good luck and keep us posted.

  • Hi all,My problems forever has been my neck. Now my lower back drives me nuts.I'm a chef by profession, been working on tile and concrete floors for 20yrs.My PM dr is sending me for mri in the next week or two.I'll keep you posted.Peace and Love. Mark. PS I'm thinking positive, maybe I'm just getting old.
  • When trying to find out what is wrong, make sure you include a thorough look at the back muscles.
They do a lot of work supporting the spine and eventually get overworked, angry and sore.
They need constant maintenance if they are to do their job properly, but we tend to ignore them until they are in trouble.
Even then , we look to the spine or other things first, yet the muscles are screaming out.
  • and i think that its a good idea but you may find that you have soft tissue damage and that wont show up on X ray there are anti inflammatory creams that may help and you could try a TENS .is your back hot? if so try an ice pack if cold try heat good luck
