Whats wrong with me?

2 years ago, lifted something heavy, felt weird in back it developed into bad back pain and I develop tingling feeling in right foot, and burning pain down leg.
6 months later Had ct scan of back and pelvis, MRI of back and all was normal so I put it behind me, neurosurgeon seemed to think I'll be fine.
Present day.. Still have leg problem but its worse, foot feels numb calf feels numb.. (Not without feeling, if you tickle it I can feel it.) Lower back is painful again. Burning down thigh. Been in bed last 2 days, taking over the counter painkillers which do nothing.
Over 2 years symptoms never went away.. But I could manage.. But last few months its bad again. Went to doctors today, he said give it two weeks and comeback if its not better. I could raise legs and wiggle toes and bend over and touch my feet OK. Doctor said ppl with disc injuries cannot do that.

I don't know what to do. Do I push for another ct scan or MRI? I've tried PT, Bowen therapy, chiro.

I'm worried about permanent nerve damage if it hasn't reached that state already.

I'm so sick of it all.
