  • I had dissolvable stitches. I kept band aids on for about 3 weeks until the scab and stitches/glue were completely gone because I didn't like the feeling of my shirt rubbing on it.

    Like the others have said, it's really common for the pain to come and go the first several weeks because the nerves take a while to heal, and will send your brain mixed signals while they're healing.
