Back bending

I had a rhizotomy last week. Didn't help. Tried everything. Streached till I was blue in the face.

Then I did some yoga back bending. And the pain in my lower back was alot less. I think it helps to stabilize the si joint. Dunno, can somebody tell me why, and if I'm on the right track before I xxxx up my back even worse

    I would be taking the advice of my dr--what did he/she tell you to do after your RFA??

  • and it can take a few weeks before the benefit of the procedure is seen. It is far too early to decide that the procedure did not help.....I would NOT be doing back bends until you have been cleared by the doctor to do so. If you are uncertain what is causing the pain you are having, doing things like back bends can worsen the situation.
  • Thank you I will wait a few weeks. Don't know why but my knees get real tight and cracks and pop alot. I've tried streaching but in morning when I wake up it's tight again.

  • Because while you are sleeping, you aren't moving around. Not moving, unfortunately = tightness and stiffness in the mornings. Once you are up and moving around and after a Ga-zillion cups of coffee, you will begin to loosen up. Have you noticed this? :-)
