Hello everyone

I honestly don't know what to do about my back and everything anymore. I had a nerve test done on Friday (that was AWFUL), the results were "normal" meaning the pain, muscle weakness and feet burning are not steming from my disc problems. Which means I probably have a problem further up my spine, or fibromyalgia.
To this date I've had 3 MRIs, a CAT scan, and 2 x-rays, and countless reflex/mobility tests done for my back.
They've tacked on so many diagnosises:
An annular tear on L4-L5
A small bulge on the disc of L5-S1
Spinal Stenosis (the narrowing of the spinal cord) as well as osteoarthritis in that area
My hips are out of alignment making one leg longer than the other
Probably some other things I can't remember.
This has been on going since 2012, and I've been to the hospital from the pain of it at least 4 times. I went to a pain management specialist for a while, but they just tried me on lots of different opioids, which I won't take anymore.  I went to physical therapy for two months, but I had to stop because it was so painful.
Now my pc is telling me just to exercise more and cut sugar out of my diet to help with the arthritis. She won't refer me to a specialist again. I'm at a loss here.

Wow, that must be very frustrating. Maybe you need to switch doctors.

Hello, I've just joined! I think that a new doctor is in order although that's a hassle. Also, I have issues so I would feel like I was betraying my PCP. I feel as though I have so many issues that maybe he's at a loss as to what to do next.

    Hello....
My PCP often does referrals..and is always open to any I may mention.
A good doctor will never mind another opinion.

I too have many issues and I see more than a couple specialists. I like specialists!
No one doctor can know everything about every thing.

And it is your health. We need to care for ourselves and not to worry about feelings.
But I do know what you mean. I feel like I'm cheating on my beautician when I get haircut some where else. :)
But I've never had beautician give me hard time or roll her eyes. :)
It was just my problem ....in my head.
